ABOUT ME!

Melanie Farber (She/Her) is a New York native who now currently resides in the sunshine state.

Dance became her love language at a very young age. After seeing her first Broadway show, Cats, she knew then and there what she wanted to do as an adult. Melanie has studied with incredible teachers all over New York. She was also an intern at Broadway Dance Center for a summer where she learned how to market her craft and skillset. While studying for her Bachelor's in Dance from SUNY Brockport, she started her professional performance career at Walt Disney World and continued to create magic for guests for 8 years. During this time, she also started performing in regional theaters throughout Central Florida as well as choreographed two Orlando Fringe Shows (Best Choreography nomination).

After a long intermission due to the pandemic, Melanie is happy to be back working on the great stages in Southeast, FL. When she is not performing, you can catch her teaching group fitness classes in yoga and barre, putting up homes for sale as a licensed Realtor, binge watching reality television shows, or cuddling up with her Labradoodle, Teddy, while hanging out with family.

I won’t take for granted the too-often-taken-for-granted Ensemble Dance Captain, Melanie Farber, who keeps the Wick’s tappers tapping their twinkling toes, limbs and torsos in unbelievable unison. Even the duo who imitated Jimmy Durante tilted their heads at very same angle, waved their arms as Siamese twins might with their fingers the same number of centimeters apart. To me, Melanie Farber is a terpsichorean Aga Khan, worth her weight in platinum. Somebody tell her to eat more in case Marilyn Wick takes my suggestion to heart
